Everyone knows that parenthood changes your life, but it’s not until you become a parent that you really get it. It’s not just one experience in life, it’s THE experience. I’m only nine months in but man has it turned my world upside down. When I get up in the morning and walk into my daughter’s room, that little smile is ridiculous — it fills up my tank for the day. And when I walk in the door exhausted after work, it doesn’t matter what happened that day — I am instantly in another world.
Your career is a huge part of your identity, that is, until motherhood comes along. Do you give it up? How do you adjust? We all desperately want to balance these two things. Some days it all clicks, and sometimes it’s a complete chaos.
Yahoo! launched the Yodeling Mamas blog to start a conversation with moms. To create a place for us to express ourselves. To share our experiences and tips of the trade. To ask questions and relate to others who have paved the path before us. To talk about that never-ending quest for balance between work and our precious little bunnies.
